The 5-9C (Red Stripe) is an all tube, fully discrete, optical limiter/compressor. It utilizes the legendary T4B optical cell for smooth limiting action. A first choice limiter for use on vocals, bass, and mix buss compression.

In 1997 with the famous LA2A compressor out of production, vintage units being extremely expensive, and the two in need of a unit for an upcoming session at Electrical Audio, Bill and Jessica decided to develop what would become their first product; the Red Stripe limiter, a modified version of the original classic.
